Chartered Accountants are highly-respected in
Nova Scotia, and have positively affected the business climate
and landscape. CAs are known and respected for their integrity,
business acumen and the rigorous education and training required
by the industry.
ICANS is a self-governing association empowered by the Chartered
Accountants Act of the Province of Nova Scotia, and has two
primary mandates:
- To protect the public interest by governing
the actions of its members through the enforcement of bylaws
and a code of professional conduct; and
- To serve as an advocacy group to further
the interests of all CAs in Nova Scotia and to serve their
needs.

To accomplish these goals, the Institute is committed to

as a valuable resource for CAs to grow and build upon their
skills and expertise.
